MG MGA - The graphite body MGA is for sale
The Vantage Motorsports graphite body MGA is up for sale on eBay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110185956859 No personal interest, just a curiosity for me. I have a few magazine articles about it posted here: http://mgaguru.com/mgtech/variants/vt106h.htm |

I hate to admit it, but that would be a fun car to own! Personally I'd put a more period appropriate engine in it though. |

I always thought that the MX5(Miata) engine would be quite nice in an A , also it doesn't look unlike a mga twin cam motor, I wonder if anyone has done it gordon |

I have attached a photograph of an MX5 (Miata) engine in an MGA. This photo is courtesy of Bill Spohn in Canada. The only problem I can see is that without all the usual MGA oil leaks how would you stop the chassis from rusting? Mick |

Hi Mick thanks for that, it looks as though it belongs there I bet it goes quite well too gordon |

Mick you could put one of the those automatic chain oilers for a motorcycle on it and be sure to use drain oil for authenticity. |

I remember reading a magazine article about that car when it was new. I seem to recall that they had the chassis galvanized, so it should have a bit more resistance to rust than usual. |
