MG MGA - This should be doing better than this on eBay(IMHO
I'd be tempted to investigate further, if it was on this side of the Atlantic! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MGA-TWIN-CAM-COUPE_W0QQitemZ180049932865QQihZ008QQcategoryZ29757QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Surely there aren't scammers in Sweden! |

It appears a bit strange. Is the description MG/MGF just a typing error? It says new engine and gearbox. Where would anybody get a new mga twin cam engine and gearbox? Is the engine and gearbox from a different type of car? The lack of additional photos is a bit suspicious. If you have a camera to take one photo, why not take others? Mick |

A brand new TC engine is possible. One of the guys in our local club located TWO NOS TC heads last year, and has just located an NOS TC block. He's just wanting a crank now.... Anyone? |

Caveat emptor...Nowhere in the listing does the post state that the new engine and transmission are twin cam versions. However, the seller does highlight in caps that the car has "...TWIN CAM rims...". It may, indeed, have a TC engine and transmission, but if it is relisted, any interested party should ask the question. Steve |

Different people have different ideas of what "New" entails. It could mean a newly rebuilt engine, or a "New to the car" engine. Neither of which means that the engine in the car is necessarily a twin-cam at all. If I recall the ad only states that it is a 1600. As the car appears to originate in Sweden there could be a bit of a translation issue as well. Rich |
