MG MGA - Timing light - what to buy?

After following Steve Gyles' thread on distributor Mechanical Advance I am thinking of buying a decent timing light. Is something like what is shown on this site http://www.autotools.com.au/catalogue/product.php/10/73/741
the type to go with (this company is not far from where I live)? It seems like it would do all you would need.

Mike,

I recently upgraded my inductive timing light, to an advance model. Both new and old are the states-side Sears models with the same metal body. The Sears advance model looks similar to yours, http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00921023000P?keyword=timing+light .

My older, non-advance, Sears timing light is over 20 years old and still works and looks great. The metal body, rubber shroud and disconnect for the leads are features worth the price. With the lead disconnect, I can hookup to the ground and a hot terminal on the regulator and connect the inductive lead to the #1 plug, then drop the lead down by the oil filter to connect the timing light body. That saves a couple of up and down trips to get the timing light hooked up and disconnected.

The Sears advance timing light is selling for $70 US v. your $140 AU. Searching the US Sears site for "timing light" will pull up a few other models, including those sold by Moss.

Mine looks very similar to the one on your site.
