MG MGA - Towing points?
Hi, Usually on the TD/TF board but new here. I am picking up an MGA restoration project Saturday. It will need to be dragged out of its backyard resting place and winched onto a flatbed. Where should the tow straps be placed to avoid damage? Thanks in advance to the first of many questions to come. George |

George, if pulling from the rear, you could wrap your sling around the axle, but be careful of damaging the brake lines, alternatively behind the bumper at the rear dumb irons. If pulling from the front, there is a large hole in the frame cross member about 2 ft back. |

George... Welcome to the 'A' board! Glad to see you got the project...see you at a GOF sometime soon in it? When my fuel pump went out, thankfully only a quarter mile (but downhill) from the house, I stuck a rope in through the crankhandle hole and tied it around the frame portion in front of the crank pulley. Good luck! |
