MG MGA - Track Laps at Le Mans 24 hour Classic 2008
I've been taking my 1960 Mark I to the Le Mans 24 hour for the past 8 years but 2008 was my first visit to the Le Mans Classic which is held every other year. After the excitement of my first visit to the Classic in July I have finally managed to upload videos of my two track laps. These were lead by a safety car but with a track 8.5 miles long there is plenty of opportunity to put your foot down and without any marshalling/flag waving going on! ;-) A bit bunched up on Lap 1, narrowly evading a F430, being passed by a mass of GT3s and other Porsches, GT40s, Jags, Cobras, loads of other classics, and a Carerra GT. Lap 1 was fine but I had to edit out the full length of the three pit stops I made during lap 2 due to a failing fuel pump - temporarily fixed with a hammer! Consequently had the whole track to myself as I was at the back of the pack. Awesome fun! Lap 1 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4k4SmmI8piM Lap 2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVn8rNUSFbc Can’t wait till 2010 when I do it again! Regards, Jason |

Jason, You can never complain about that S U PUMP again , that had to be the best place to have a problem , we were there with our 1960 MGA L/H & watching you could have been us as we have the same colour we went with our motor club from Devon (CBCCC )check the website , a great weekend , but still prefer Goodwood, thanks for the view & keep the hammer handy.
