MG MGA - Twin Cam
I generally participate in the TD/TF forum, but this is not something that one sees everyday; 2 twin cam MGAs on ebay at the same time! 150708113835 270859872117 |

That red coupe would sure make a nice stable mate to my pushrod one now to win the lottery! |

That coupe is for sale in Seattle for 70,000 http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/ctd/2696085157.html |

well I know what I should have put on my Christmas list. if only I had not made the naughty list, would I have had a chance. |

Interesting that it is LHD. The YM1 series of VIN numbers is for a Home Market (UK) coupe and RHD. Mick |

That would explain why the lock is on the passenger door! |

I often frequent the MG T-series BB having a '55 TF1500 - however I had a question about the MGA twincam. I read where 2111 were produced but only 50 were exported to the USA. Is that figure correct? Thanks Rick |
R.T. Walsh |
No, it is not correct. The great majority of mga twin cam vehicles were exported to the USA. I have the exact figures somewhere. I will post the details later, if I can find them. Mick |
M F Anderson |
Approximately 1028 Twin Cams were exported to the USA. 934 Roadsters and 94 Coupes. This far exceeded the number sold in any other country. See image attached (if you can read it). Mick |

Mick, Thank you for accurate information regarding twincam US export figures. Here is a link to the article that said 50 cars that should be corrected: http://www.mgcars.org.uk/MGA/mgatwine.html It is about 10-12 lines up from the end. Thanks, and yes, I could read the table you provided. Regards Rick |
