Some of those old race cars with proven provenance do go for that price and more. I bet Bob West's old car SRX 210 went for more than that, may be double (just a guess - no insider knowledge).

Might be worth it to the right person, but, these days most people just don't know or care about the history. I'm thinking, by the time I'm ready to part with my MG's there will be no market. MG what??
