MG MGA - Type 9 gearbox saddle bush
I have just ordered a new saddle bush that fits between the gearstick and selector on the type 9 hopefully to put an end to a niggling vibration noise at motorway speeds and I’m wondering if anyone has changed one and if so, is it an easy job, thank you in advance for any advice, Vin |

Hi Vin remember the local firm who specialised in type 9 sierra gear boxes that we spoke to at the classic car show last autumn. They may be able to help. I seem to recall that they gave me a business card and I will check later to see if I can find it. Colyn |

Found the business card in my MG files Vin. If you look up the www.atomtransmissions.co.uk website it looks like they rebuild type 9 boxes and all other makes of classic gearboxes too. I seem to recall that they could mix and match ratios in their Type 9 Sierra boxes too. Best of all they are based down the road from you near Bawtry so not so far to go. Hope they can help with the fitting of the bush. Colyn |
