MG MGA - UK Weather -Floods

I have to admit that the UK weather finally beat me today on the way to work. I had to take the MGA home and take the modern car with a higher floor pan and door sills! Hardly stopped raining for 3 days now. North West England is under water and sinking fast. Half of our work force is absent, trapped somewhere or other - or is it just a convenient Monday morning excuse?

My colleague has just turned up in his spluttering Beamer. Apparently he ended up with water washing over his bonnet, but kept going and just got through a large lake of water. Surprising, no water got in the cabin. He asked me if it was likely he had damaged anything. The likes of air con filters, air filters, water in the sump, all come to mind. We will go and have a look at it at lunchtime.

Definitely not MGA weather Steve -it's bad enough it dripping in your lap without it splashing up through the floorboards!! Only used mine on 2 days so far this year. It has poured down every other day - happy boating - cheers Cam
