MG MGA - Unknown Piston Set. Anyone have a reference list?
I have a set of 4 NOS AE Pistons and I have no idea what they fit. They are domed, three-ring, pistons with two valve cutouts at 90 degrees from the upper floating pin position. The AE number found on the top is as follows: 125 80-66261/2 Cast inside the piston is an AE number 2415. I have the AE boxes but no specific application is found on those. Given the valve cutouts, I am thinking they may be Riley or mga twin cam. I have no idea. Any suggestions on where I might find a parts reference to the AE part number? Thanks in advance, Jeff |

Have you any way of measuring the diameter with reasonable accuracy? I'm sure that would give an indication of them being TC or not. |

George - thanks for that link - I'll see what they say. I wasn't even sure if AE was still around. Derek - I'll take one to a machine shop and get some good measurements. Thanks guys, Jeff |

George - I wrote AE and they said they dont have references that go back for earlier pistons. I find that hard to beleive - but I guess they know. Jeff |
