MG MGA - V8 Automatic MGA on ebay
I have just noticed this MGA on ebay UK - listing number 230099087277 -nice car or abomination? Cheers Cam |

Looks entertaining, but I'd get rid of the front spoiler. Bound to upset the purists. And finally, I'd prefer it without an automatic. |

Hi Cam Not my choice. Have you started on your 5-speed conversion yet? Steve |

I seem to remember we had the same car (and conversation) a couple of months ago! Not my cup of tea at all, but each to his own. Neil |

Neil, Is it the same car? - probably - my memory's going - no for me either. Steve - got the Sierra gearbox all cleaned up - just need £725 +vat for the kit - it's going up all the time - £200 in last 3 years - was told by HiGear at Stoneleigh last Sunday that there is a waiting list of 80 likely to take at least 8 weeks to clear - hope to get my order in by Easter - cheers Cam |

Cam, Frightening to think that there might be several of these around! They can't all have that lopsided spoiler though, or can they? I also remember another "pace car" very similar spec. for restoration about six months or more ago. Often modified specials can be bought cheap and used for parts, but I'm not sure there are any MGA parts left on this one! Neil |
Neil McGurk |
Yes Neil - you are right - the lopsided front spoiler triggered the old grey cells - must be the same one. OK for screeching round a race track or boy racer on the road (if you can get insurance) - cheers Cam |

It is the same car but different seller. From what I remember, last time it was on ebay it was not road legal and didnt have any wipers or windscreen (and therefore MOT). It still looks like a kit car to me though so I wont be bidding! Robert |
