MG MGA - Value of 62 mk II with non original motor
Hello all, I am brand new here, and am looking at a beautifully restored 62 mk II, less than 500 miles on motor and trans, but the engine is not original, it has been rebuilt, bored and cammed, approx 500 miles ago. The body was completely re-done 500 miles ago. Painted a non original shade of red, professionaly done. New non spoke wheels and tires... the car was completely rebuilt over a period of 5 years or so. Needs a top and side curtains, frame is excellent. I think the engine is a 1500, but I will know more tomorrow. Walking up to the car, it is a 9 out of 10, very nice. Just curious as to the value of something like this. Thanks- Bill Woods |

Hey! Where were all you fellow MGA Kentuckians when I was there? I had a tough time finding MG enthusiasts when I lived there. Nice A in Frankfort right now and two more I sold in Lexington. Mine was restored over a period of several years in a small garage attached to a machine shop in Frankfort. Danville is right down the road..... |

Hi Bill, Probably worth £10k over here. Non original engine , as long as it is a B series , is quite common so shouldn't affect value too much. Don't worry about the top and side screens. I've used the top once in 3 years ( torrential rain) and never used the sidescreens.Cheers Cam |

If it's that nice 10K may be a bit low. Ebay is a good example of what people will pay. What are they asking for it?????? Kris |

10k in the UK is $13-14k US, you have to do the currency conversion! |
