MG MGA - valve seals which one did you use

Ok so it looks like we need value seals to cut down on oil consumption.

But which ones to use? Read Barneys site and he seems to have 4 choices. I assume we want to avoid the Moss OEM replacement.

We don't want to take the head off, so which seal should we use. Any tricks to keeping the valves from falling into the cylinder?

Thanks

FelPro SS70373 These are all rubber. I cut a small groove in the guide .19" from the top to help hold them on the guide. Have not run the engine yet though.

Compressed air is the easiest way to hold up the valves. Without an air source you could feed a length of cotton rope into the cyl then rotate the piston up to hold it tight. Keep the end hanging out and turn it by hand to install and (backwards) to remove the rope.

MGC caps.

I used Sealed Power ST2001 stem seals on my recent rebuild. The top ends of the bronze guides I used weren't tapered so there was no problem with the seals fitting nice and snug on the guides.

Using Viton stem seals and bronze guides. Oil consumption so far has been nil.
