MG MGA - Wanted Rear Gearbox Casing in Australia
Hi All, Would anyone have a broken MGA gearbox that they no longer require the rear 1/2 of the casing. I need the later type one that has the flange type tailshaft, Not the sliding tailshaft. Perferably in Australia as it would make the transport costs to Perth Less. Please contact me offline. Many Thanks in advance Mark. |

Hi All, I didn't think it would be so hard to find one of these castings, since many gearboxes bust have blown up over the years. Does anyone know if an early one can be machined to take the later flange and seal ? Cheers Mark. |

Mark, I may be wrong, but I recall seeing one on Ebay just yesterday. I do not recall how it was listed but I do remember it been funny that it was only the tail end of the tranny as you need. Look thru the whole MGA listing on Ebay and you might just find it. You possibly might also try Geoff Rogers....check the classifieds....or even buy a whole tranny and have only the tail piece shipped to you. Hope this helps Gordon |
