MG MGA - Wedding Car
Gday Our daughter requested our MGA Coupe as a wedding using wedding cars tonbridge car. So we loaded it onto a trailer and drove 6000 miles on a road trip to Perth WA. She also required a second car for the bridal party. Dave & Marian Gard supplied their 1956 MG Magnette. Dave even took the day off to be available at the appointed hour. Dave & Marian are members of the Western Australia MG Club. We really appreciated their efforts in making the day memorable. Bob & Janice Walker |

I always wanted to paint my coupe that colour (Mineral Blue?) but found that it was no longer available with 1600 coupes. Mystifying, I think that they look great in that colour! The first coupe to come to SA was that colour, it was supposed to be a wedding present from rather wealthy parents but arrived too late, so the agents had it on display at our monthly MG CC meeting! Attractive light grey seats if I recall. We used our Y-type for our daughter's wedding and later used it for several others. |

Gday Barry, yes its mineral blue/grey interior. You don't see many this colour even at big gatherings. Bob |

Thought so! I was so keen on that colour that I painted our daughter's MGC GT Mineral Blue (our version) after restoring it. Looks like an Aston Martin, which I think that the bean counters must have been trying to emulate with the MGC!. Goodness knows what they were thinking, Astons only sold about one car a fortnight, not very suitable for an organisation set up for "volume" sales! Anyway, we have had our MGA coupe for over 30 years, many thousands of enjoyable miles (and out of the draught, my wife approves!). |
