MG MGA - what is it worth?
We are in possession of a 1957 MGA which needs restoration. All original parts; original MG motor; including wire spoke wheels. The tunnel top is in rags, but the framing is there. this has been sitting under a tarp in Northern Idaho since 1988, which was the last time it was started. The body has no dents, just one small scratch on the right rear fender. We have pictures, but because of the length of storage time, the vehicle is quite dusty, some rust. We are looking to find a buyer, and also trying to find out what it is worth. Can you direct us? Help us? Thanks Nila Hagood 509.624.2456 Alice Seimas (owner) leave message 208.610.4026 |

Nila, there are far too many unknowns in your post for anyone to give you a realistic value as to what the car might be worth. You stated that you have pictures, perhaps you could post them with a link so that the car might be seen. Generally with MGA's "some rust" translates into more rust and a lot of work to correct particularly if it involves the frame of the car. This will greatly affect what you could expect to get for it. Photos would be helpful. Clayton |

Nila, I paid $3000 for a complete unrestored coupe with an excellect body (very little rust and straight)that was not running and needed total restoration. This is a fair price for the car which needed another $15,000 to complete. Clayton is correct in that there will probable be much more rust and or frame damage than it looks. Hope this helps.
