MG MGA - What is your 'Daily Driver'

I'll start...
Audi A4S
skip

Right hand drive 1967 MGB GT.

When I get my '65 MGB rodaster's engine back together, it will once again be my daily driver as it has been for most of my life.
Steve Simmons

An '05 F-150, but I frequently drive one of our four MGs on local errands or sometimes the '64.5 Mustang Conv. Funny thing is that the '06 BMW 330i Conv. sits in the garage most of the time.

Cheers - Dennis

Daily driver = '02 PT Cruiser

I've thought of using my A as a commuter but had two issues with that.

1st: I had a daily commute of 79 miles in Chicago area rush hour traffic. Not real fun for the A or for me. Now have a 20 mile daily commute and can see this a bit easier whch leads me to....

2nd: How does everyone rationalize (I or clean up)the drips of oil left where you park? At home it is easy, the place is mine and I can tend to it as needed. But if I used the A and parked at work, the space would rapidly become a EPA SuperSite. How can I address this without drastic engine changes etc?

1979 MGB LE or 1968 MGBGT. Wife has a 2003 Mini Cooper. Older daughter's daily driver is a 77 MGB. We also have a 1980 Bronco and a 1977 I-H Scout II for when we need to pull a trailer or carry bulky loads. But, day to day, we drive Brit cars as our daily drivers. (OK, younger daughter has Jap car because good midgets are harder to find than Miatas--but the MGA is hers when the restoration is finished.)

Sometimes the '57 A roadster, Sometimes ( when I really HAVE to get there)the '01 Honda S2000. Both great drives.
Steve
Steve Meline

Right now it's the '56 A, my Blazer is having fuel problems. The A is a lot of fun, not real practical, but who cares? The weather here is great, mid to upper 60s. Nothing could be finer than to be in...
Wray Lemke

I dirve a 79 Pontaic Formula Sunbird (mini Trans Am)with honeycomb wheels v-6 with a 5 speed, 79 Olds Starfire GT, 84 Benz, 83 Ford Econo van, and of course my 61 MGA Judson supercharged. I still have a 58 Magnette which is my next project. I think I am a glutton for pusnisment by having so many cars.
JEFF BECKER

MGA.

Got soaked this morning. Going to have to keep spare suit at work. Refuse to put that hood up!

Ian, good to see you are keeping up the Foot Rot Flats tradition - with a ute - how many sheep can you get in the back?
My work car is Holden Commodore Calais (these are a GM car made in Australia - nick named Conformadore as they are are the standard company car here - you know the ones - you don't have to wash or maintain!)
Mike Ellsmore

'01 PT Cruiser
M Gannon

My wife has a Nissan Altima and mine is a 98 Plymouth voyager and not because I want to but the price was right. It does sort of fit the requirements of droping off kids and picking up stuff and carrying my tools and equipment. Given a choice I would prefere a pickup again. The A is of course the daily driver as much as possible from April through Nov.

'02 Mustang with mild modifications (can't get the "muscle car" roots out of my system!).

G Goeppner

Well, I drive a '97 Camry, the wife a '02 Mitsubishi Lancer for winter. [with Blizzak tires] A '94 Miata in summer.
And I will, when I put it back together [again] drive my '77 MGB in summer, but only to events, as it has collector plates.
We also share a '97 Chevy S10 4X4 with my son Jon. when we need to tow, or haul a load. or if the snow gets real deep, as in over a foot.

We've been looking at Jaguar type X's. Nice car, but won't get the mpg of either the Lancer or the Camry.

Maybe a 3 series beemer?
Horror!
