MG MGA - Windsheild whiper motor removal
I have a 61 A that I am trying to remove the whiper motor from. All of the electrical (three wires) have been disconnected and the mounting bolts (two) have been removed. The motor is loose. I have also removed the steel tube that connects to the motor for the cable to drive the whipers. Now the interesting part. How do you remove the motor from the car? The master cylinder and the vent seem to be in the way. |

I had to take my wiper motor out last winter for some repairs. Following Barneys suggestion, I removed the pedals first. It took a little effort, but then the wiper motor came out (and went back in) without much fuss. |

I have just taken the wiper motor out of my 58 Coupe (Under re-construction). But I had already removed the brake master cylinder first!. However, it helps to remove the wipers as the shafts can then turn as you pull out the driver cable. |
