MG MGA - Wiring Harness

Guy’s I am running a new Moss harness to my 1500. It came in three pieces. My problem is that it appears to only go as far as the front right fender (As Barney’s sites indicates). Is there suppose to be a 4th piece of the harness to go across to the left fender that I might be missing?

Here are some pictures of a Moss 1500 wire harness. There are 5 pieces not 3. There is the main piece that goes through the firewall. It connects to:
#2 the piece you ask about at the R F corner of car and runs to L F corner of car.
#3 dash piece.
#4 Hooks in above the brake light switch and runs to R R corner.
#5 small piece runs from RR corner to LR corner.
This picture shows all 5 pieces laid out as they fit in the car.

This picture is of the front piece that goes from right to left. It was taken from what would be in front of car. The lower left of picture is the right front of car.

Nice thread!
My harness is a home built jobby by the previous owner and a real mess (ehh Dominic? :) )
SO: I assume one harness would fit either RHD or LHD right?
Are they expensive?

I see another winter project coming on, along with a clutch renewal and flywheel change.

I checked around and bought my wiring harness from British Wiring for my MGA.. Very nice looking product and you have to get the wiring extra for the headlights.
Check them out before buying the MOss harness. They are cheaper also.

The same harness works for LHD and RHD. Where it goes through the firewall in the center behind the heater position, the harness has branches that can be flipped over to go left or right. There are separate branches for the control box and dipper switch in front, and for the dash instruments in back. There is also enough wire length to allow for swapping positions of the four round dash instruments.

As such, there are three different harness patterns for 1500, 1600, and Twin Cam cars (with ignition coil on opposite side). Other variations of part numbers would be for:

1.) Early 1500 type with black rubber insulated wires individually cloth wrapped for color codes, and cloth braid over wrap. These are more expensive (and less durable), but may be desirable for early 1500 model concours restoration.
2.) Later cars with PVC insulated wires with the colors in the PVC insulation, cloth braid over wrap, and ring lugs for early style generator.
3.) Ditto #2, but with Lucar connectors for later style generator and control box.
4 & 5.) Ditto #2 & #3 except with tape wrap outer cover in place of the cloth braid over wrap. This is not original, but will be less expensive and perfectly serviceable for a daily driver car.

Sorry Bill thought you were looking to buy a wiring harness.

Thanks Guy's!
I guess I just mis-placed the piece. I will have to check the many boxes in the garage this weekend.
Just a word of cautions for those purchasing a harness from Moss. The bulb holders are still pretty bad as indicated in Barney’s site! I ended up clipping them all off and using my cleaned up originals.
