No record on the Yahoo TC group, but I guess you know that. No hits on google using. ("yd3/666" OR "d3666" OR "YD3666" OR "YD3 666") AND (MG OR MGA) No records on (about 35 Twin Cams there) http://www.sportscarmarket.com/auctions/search.php Do you know what it's number plate was, or the last USA state it was in? email me and I'll give you some more options. I beleve it was a US car. MGA. Do not know what state it was last in. In 1959 it was in MI. |

D.M, When you say MI do you mean Michigan. I contacted them this week about another car. From my contact at Michigan government. "Our records only go back 10 years so the vehicle would have to have been registered as early as 11 years ago for us to find any record" They then destroy the records. which the guy I emailed said that was ridicules in this day and age, but that was the law in that state. YD3 666 has never been reported to the mga twin cam Register as far as I know. This Register was started in the late 1960s but even after 35+ years 6-10 previously unknown Twin Cams appear each year, so there is still hope. 666 was built as a L spec car (LHD but not to the North American specification) which likely means that it was originally sold in Europe somewhere. Like many others it may have been brought back to the USA after a military tour of duty. |
