MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - IAT Bung?
|For those using injection (I am using a 3.4 V6), one needs to locate an intake air temp sensor somewhere in the intake tract between filter and throttle body.|
Everyone seems to offer O2 sensor bungs to be welded in, but no one seems to offer IAT sensor bungs.
Anyone got a neat way to put one in an alloy intake tube?
|Bill, I found an intake piece made of steel which I modified and left the mounting in place. It is just a threaded piece of tubing, you should be able to get some appropriate sized aluminum tubing and tap it and then TIG weld it in the intake piece you have. The air filter is located behind the grill with the access via a hinged lid with the IAT sensor mounted there.
