MG MGB Technical - A little off topic

Hi me again.

mg now back in the land of the living after a wiring fault to the distributer!

this is i know not anything to do with mg however i wanted to know if anyone knew about this sort of thing.

my ford escort has a strange buzzing noise. i think its the fuel pump. do fuel pumps buzz when they are almost broken, the car runs fine but when i turn the key it starts then stops as a normal pump would then when i start it then makes the same louder than it should be noise constantly, i apprieciate if anyone could give me some kind of an idea thanks!!
