MG MGB Technical - Brake Master Cylinder
Folks: I have a MGB-GT '74.5. Need to replace, rebuild my Brake master cylinder. First I need to get the other one out. Do I have to take all the braces out to get it out? Ideas? Thanks, JOHN |

John - You should be able to take out the rubber plug under the dash to gain access to the master cylinder with a socket on an extension. you will need fingers articulated in about 6 places to get a wrench (box or open end) on the nut on the other side of the cylinder flange. While you have the master cylinder out, put heil coils in the flange to match the mounting bolts and it will make the job of reinstalling the cylinder much less frustrating. Good luck - Dave |
