MG MGB Technical - Broke retaining clip master clutch cylinder
Hi all, Back after a brief bout of "what am I doing trying to sell my B!!!?" Decided to keep it (I'm better now..)cause I spent a lot of time amd money on it plus it is a blast to drive. Anyway, I was trying to replace the push rod on the clutch master cylinder when the retaining clip "ends" broke off. Without them how do I remove the retaining clip to replace the push rod??? Nothing to grip to sqeeze it to get it off. Any suggestions will be a help. Thanks |

I've done that on other parts, a sharp pointed tool may help you pry one broken end out enough to get small screwdriver between the retaining clip and it's grove. You should be able get a needle nose pliers on it and twist it out. Clifton |
