MG MGB Technical - Broken Throttle Cable
The throttle cable on my 74 mgb roadster snapped the other day a couple of inches away from the pedal (it had rusted through!) and I had to drive 70 miles home holding a pair of mole grips clamped to the end of the cable working the throttle by hand!! I have bought a new cable but now notice that the little cone-shaped guide has broken and will need replacing. My question is - how on earth do you get to replace the guide when I can't even get a finger in there? Will taking off the pedal box cover help? Any other tips? All help gratefully received. |

I started to say something but mine is on the other side and quite easy to get to. |
