MG MGB Technical - Clutch release bearing advice needed
Hi all, I am about to fit a new clutch and was wondering if anybody has experiences with "roller release bearing" instead of the classic graphite ones. Thanks for your advice |

The roller release bearings seem to get a bad press here as it seems they become noisy within a short time. The carbon thrust race is a perfectly serviceable item and should last for 100,000 miles provided that you are not in the habit of riding the clutch or other bad procedures. |

As Iain says, no problem with carbon. Having said that, I did have an issue with a new carbon bearing from M*ss for a midget. The dimensions were all wrong. |
