MG MGB Technical - Crossflow Head - needle size

I have had a crossflow head on my "B" for over 3 years now, with 1 3/4 SU's, K&N' filters, .080+ pistons and a piper 719 cam. My question is what kind of SU needles should I be using? How about spring sizes.

I have not yet taken it to a Dynmo but it screams in all four gears from 1800 thru 7000 rpm's.

The Leyland competition prep manual suggested TE needles and blue springs for their PlusPac 1 preparation.
