MG MGB Technical - Crown wheel & pinion BTA 1224 & 5
I have a 3.9 crown wheel and pinion. The C/Wheel has P/No BTA 1224 and the Pinion is P/No BTA 1225. I am told they are for an MGB, preceding BTB 653. Can anyone throw any light on this? regards |

I have a part number for midget 3.9 crown wheel & pinion set as BTA1223, so I would hazard a guess that that's what you have. I might be interested in taking them off your hands if you want to part with them. |

Dave, The C/Wheel is approx. 165mm in diameter and the Pinion is approx. 155mm long end to end. They are genuine unused MOWOG itemes as you can see from the image. I was going to put them on e-bay this weekend but i'd be happy to give a Bulletin Board user first refusal. I would want £75 plus postage but to not break the BBS protocol please contact me offline on the mail address shown if you would like them. regards Colin |

Did you resolve what your CWP was for? Was it early MGB, or Midget? I,m looking for an early B 3.9:1, & would like to know what the part nos are.Same item as MGA 1600 Mk2 I believe. |

The 1600 Mk 2 MGA uses a 4.1 ratio |
