MG MGB Technical - exhaust connexion for 72's midget

I just try to fix a new exhaust and something seems missing caus I need 3 or 4 cm to reach the engine collector
does anybody have a idea maybe I forgot something?
thanks for your answer cause it's hard to find somebody aware of those things in France

Patrick, I don't have a midget but this link will show the parts you need for the exhaust.

Perhaps you have the wrong pipe, I see there are three different pipes listed. You should have a flange onthe manifold and a flange to slip on the exhaust pipe. If the drawing doesn't help you can try posting your question on the Midget BBS. We are on the MGB BBS. Good luck.
