MG MGB Technical - Fan switch

US spec mgb roadster 1979 model.
Have fitted a new rocker switch for the fan , have connected both terminal to it all ok , why does the light illumination stay on all the time?

Wires to the switch connected the wrong way round?

Try swapping the night-time illumination wires - white/red and black, over.
