MG MGB Technical - front light
Sometime it work but sometime it doesn't work !! Do you know why this cause the problem? Need to get this sorted ASAP as I need to drive it to somewhere tonight in dark !! |

Go to the MGB Technical page again (where you posted this look at the screen and find electrical help. Click on this (and Bob's your father's brother). |

Do they both have this problem or just one? High beam /low beam / both? Check fuses.Check bulb/unit. Check earths. Check bullet connectors at front and where lights "split" for left and right. Ckeck switch and dip switch. Check rears too.... M |

The problem only occur on High beam (never go on high beam). The light on low beam work fine. The rear is fine too. |

Unlikely to be earth connectors then. If you have a 12v voltmeter or make up a test lamp you can test each part of the circuit shown on the diagram Iwan referred to. Corroded bullet connectors would be my guess. If you haven't fixed it by tonight- drive slow)er) on low beam!! M |

Could be corrosion of the contacts in the switch. |
