MG MGB Technical - Fuel pump polarity sensitive?

Hey all,

Yet another question from me. I tried to identify my fuel pump to see if it is polarity sensitive but I am unable to make sure it is.

There is no identification tag on it. All texts are:
Haroi (seems to be the brand)
Made in Germany
11112 12V 12 34 90 12
Outlet
Inlet
Oben-Top
12V 396

I have some photos online as well:

There does not seem to be a diode under the plastic cap. Do I have to take it apart even further? Or can I just leave it connected as it originally was and convert my car to negative ground? Or should I switch the wires?

It acutally is a harDi fuel pump .. but I cannot find anything about this type online unfortunately.

Ok I just gave it a try and after conversion my car is still driving so I suppose it was alright ;)

Dreas - None of the Hardi pumps that I have worked on were ever polarity sensitive and the one that you have pictured does not have a diode installed, so it would be safe to to use it on a negative ground vehicle. If there was a diode being used it would be visible on top of the pedestal where the points are mounted. Good uck - Dave
