MG MGB Technical - Fuel Pump Question

Hi!

Does anyone have the electrical diagram for a 1980 fuel pump. Mine just decided to stop working, for no reason. When I check on the pump itself (under the car), I have no voltage whatsoever. However, I do have power on both sides of the trip switch. Also, is there a fuse somewhere that I may not know about?

Thanks in advance!

Eric

If you don't have voltage at the pump terminals the problem is not the pump but the wiring to it. There is no fuse in the circuit, but there is a double bullet connector (two whites and a white/brown, according to the diagram) between the trip-switch and the pump with another wire coming off for the overdrive and TCSA, track the looms coming up from the gearbox tunnel to find its location.

Where can I find this double bullet connector? I thought it went directly to the pump from the trip-switch. Also, how crazy would it be to run a wire directly from the battery to the pump so I can get the car home?
Eric

If you have to get it home pick up power from the taillight circut ,that way it can be controled from the drivers seat by the headlight switch. I keep a fused jumper wire in my kit now ,after I had to liberate a piece of lamp cord from a Goodwill Bin in the middle of the night to get a 76 Roadster home.
