MG MGB Technical - Full beam not working

Hi, my lights do not flash when requested during the day and at night they turn off completely when i push the stork forward.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Hi Matt.

It is probably a blue / white wire problem or just possibly a problem with the switch.
If the main beam warning light is working, it is almost cetainly the wire.
I suppose it is just possible that both headlamp main beam filaments have failed.

The first place that I would check is the bullet connector at the front of the car that splits the single blue / white wire into a blue / white to each headlamp unit.

The stork? Maybe its flown south for the winter.

If neither headlamp flasher nor main beams from the dipswitch work as you say it must be the blue/white wire from the column switches (two) towards the lights. If the dash tell-tale works then it must be between the connector by the column to the bullet connector by the right-hand light, if not then from the switches down to the connector. Check the connector, sometimes a pin can be pushed out the back instead of engaging with its opposite number.
