MG MGB Technical - Full beam not working
Hi, my lights do not flash when requested during the day and at night they turn off completely when i push the stork forward. Any ideas? Cheers Matt |

Hi Matt. It is probably a blue / white wire problem or just possibly a problem with the switch. If the main beam warning light is working, it is almost cetainly the wire. I suppose it is just possible that both headlamp main beam filaments have failed. The first place that I would check is the bullet connector at the front of the car that splits the single blue / white wire into a blue / white to each headlamp unit. HTH.. Don |

The stork? Maybe its flown south for the winter. If neither headlamp flasher nor main beams from the dipswitch work as you say it must be the blue/white wire from the column switches (two) towards the lights. If the dash tell-tale works then it must be between the connector by the column to the bullet connector by the right-hand light, if not then from the switches down to the connector. Check the connector, sometimes a pin can be pushed out the back instead of engaging with its opposite number. |
