MG MGB Technical - Green Stuff Disks
Getting ready to do the brakes on the B, what say the BBS as to the EBC green stuff pads? Are they OK for every day use or are they just for performance? Do they really have less dust or is that hype? |

Just like Guinness, they're brilliant! Stop better, less squeal, and yes, less dust. I won't use anything else. |

I second Paul's opinion (although I don't think I'd like to drink them). I found that they take a bit more pedal pressure, but they stop straight and true and I have had absolutely no squeal since switching to them. Cheers - Dave |

Very pleased with mine, moving from DS11 race pads they were alot less pressure in road use, |

I find they still produce a fair amount of dust and that they squeal like crazy when they wear down - useful reminder to change them! |

I recently switched from the stock type to EBC pads. They require noticably more pedal pressure to stop but do have less brake dust. When they get really hot they actually stop very well. But it's rare that I get my brakes that hot, even driving fast through the canyons. Overall I would say they are not a bad brake pad and for performance driving are pretty decent. But for daily driving I plan to go back to the regular old stock pads. On a side note, they recently started making a very light squeek as I drive down the road. Very annoying! Just had the rotors turned, too! |
