MG MGB Technical - Groping for grommets
Hello "B" people. I am starting to install the wiring harness in the 73 abandoned project and see that the grommets are perished. Is there a "kit" or list of the needed rubber. Moss says "as needed"? Thanks, Tom, TC 2850 in beautiful upstate NY |

Tom, I for one, am unaware of a gromet kit --- I believe you have to get them individually, as indicated in any parts catalog. Since all holes that need gromets arediferent sizes, you might have to improvize, like using the caps that cover the rear shock oiling hole. How far upare you in beautiful Upstate N.Y.? I'm right at the corner where New York, Vermont meet Massachucetts. Of course, "upstate" can mean a lot of distance when it comes to New York, so I'm mid-state going north and south. East and west is another matter. I spend a fair amount of time driving New York for it's big and open and the aroma of a dairy farm can not be forgotten. |

Tom I purchased one of those Rubber Grommet assortments, they are everywhere on ebay. The work well for most of the places on the MGB except for the very large ones like where the harness comes thru the firewall, those I would order. The assortment is only about $10. Mike |

Oops, to answer the second part of the question, I am in Hyde Park, NY. 75 miles South of Albany and 75 miles North of the Big Apple. Regards, Tom |
