MG MGB Technical - Head casting number 2926

I've googled several mgb head-number lists but can't seem to find any information on head casting number 12H2926 for a 1972 bgt. Can anyone point me to a source of info?

Thanks,
Tom

Chris Betson can usually come up with information on odd MG engine parts. You can contact him through his web site. http://www.octarine-services.co.uk/#heads

Well, I feel rather foolish. What I thought was a "6" is actually a "3". So the head is a 12H2923, just as it should be for my '72 bgt.

Had my vision tested yesterday. The doctor says I need a new prescription.

"The doctor says I need a new prescription"

Mum takes her son and daughter to the optician, both need glasses, and the son gets a wire rimmed pair. But the daughter can't get the hang of closing one eye so the other can be checked. In desperaton the optician gets a cardboard box, cuts one hole in it and starts putting it over the daughter's head. The daughter screams blue murder and when asked what on earth is the matter replies "I want a wire rimmed pair as well".

Whilst on the subject can anyone tell me whether the MGB 12H2923 cylinder heads have hardened valve seats that will run on unleaded petrol or do you have to use a lead additive ?
