MG MGB Technical - Headlamp adjusting
Years ago when round headlamps were the in thing, you used to be able to buy a little cheap plastic aimer that suction-cupped onto the headlamp. It had 2 levels built in. Anyone seen them lately? Where? Thanks T |

Never heard of them. The usual method is to find a flat and level piece of ground ideally in front of a white wall or garage doors. Drive up to the wall/doors and stick a bit of tape on it where the centre of each headlight comes. Back up 20 ft or so and adjust them so the centre of the main beam is in line with the tape. Opinion differs as to whether the vertical alignment should be on the tape of fractionally below. Dipped beam should then be down and left (RHD) or right (LHD) of the tape. |
