MG MGB Technical - Help identifying this steering wheel

This steering wheel came with my '67 B GT, and although it fits the steering column it is apparently not the right one.

Does anyone know what car it should go on? Maybe I can sell it and get the right wheel (and accompanying horn button, which is what started all this).

Looks like a midget wheel.

What is the size across? Midget wheels were smaller and a good conversion to have the original look but a little more belly room.

The diameter is 15 1/2". What is an MGB wheel, 16"?

I have recovred Miata seats going in this B, so this may be the better wheel as Bruce says.

I suppose I could either sort a way to use a Midget horn button on the B or modify a B horn button to fit this wheel.

Hi Dave

You say it is apparently not the right one. Why do you think that? You also said it fits the steering column. If so, that would rule out a 68/69, which use a different size spline.

Can't tell for sure, but looks to be reasonably all together.

I agree with Dave O'N - it's a Spridget wheel of some sort, probably the same 65-67 era.
The one on my new toy (Sept-Oct 65 by the numbers on this site) is 16" outside, and the two near horizontal spoke sets are three spokes, the straight down set is two spokes. Looks exactly like the pic except for the spoke count. The spare that came with the car is the same, and I think I have another one to match that I recall as being an early B wheel - it's too cold to go looking though!

FRM,
Do you want to sell one of those spares? It's either buy a B wheel or modify this one to accept the B horn button.
