MG MGB Technical - HIF4 needle guess
I'd appreciate suggestions as to needle choice for HIF4s going on an engine with 1995cc overbore, fast cam, K&Ns, freeflow exhaust. They are going to be tried in place of a 45DCOE just for the sake of interest following the many discussions about the pros and cons of the Weber. Many thanks, Steve |

I'll venture AAA to richen enough to match the K&N's at higher revs. This is from my very limited experience. Mine is a 1868 Burgess head and block, fast road cam, K&N's, Peco exhaust. Be sure to post your results for posterity! FYI, I think there is a link for a needle chart at: http://www.mgbexperience.com/ Dean |

Steve, My 74 1/2 18V with HIF-4's is bored .040 over, mild cam, head with larger intakes and 9.5:1 compression with K&N pancake filters. I just changed from ABD to AAA needles with great results. Cheers, Doug |

Thanks. I've got to overhaul the HIFs. Once that's done I'll have a play with them and let you know the outcome. Steve |
