MG MGB Technical - High compression / Low compression
Some time back this site provided me with the identity of what I thought was a strange engine number on my '65 mgb roadster - 48G528 EP 5944 AD - as being a Gold Seal replacement engine. Can any one tell me if it is a high or low compression engine or at least how I might be able to find out?? |

Terry Referring to Clausager's Original MGB suggests the 48G528 was a Gold Seal replacement for the 18GD/GG engine, and would appear to be the high compression type. Hope this helps Regards Steve |
