MG MGB Technical - Interchangeable Dashes?

I have a 1971 mgb roadster. I know the Dash Panel cover used is for years '68 to '71. Can the dash panel from '62-'67 or '72-'76 be used instead to get use of a glove box?Most of the openings appreas similar, with the exception of the radio console cover. Just curious. Thanks for any input.

I believe that any post 68 dash will work. The 62-67 would require modification to the cowl sheet metal. i'm planning on using a '77 dash in my 68 mgc
