MG MGB Technical - Marker Lamps
All four marker lamps do not work but the bulbs are servicable. Any ideas? |

Out of interest, what year? In 1972 they changed from coming on with the headlamps only, to coming on with the parking lights. The fuses mentioned by A J Ogilvie power the front and rear parking lights, so for the problem to be there none of those would be working either, and they are plugged into existing separate connectors at the corners of the car, so there cannot be a single cause for all four to have failed but the parking, headlights and number-plate lights be working normally. However for the earlier arrangement there *is* the potential (ho ho) for a single point of failure, and that is the 4-way connector in the blue wire where the main harness joins the rear harness, near the fusebox. There is another 4-way by the right-hand headlight, and another by the right-hand rear light, but problems there would affect just the front or the rear respectively ... unless you have more than one fault. |
