MG MGB Technical - MGB GT 1968 Tacho Bullete Connector Size
Hi, New here as I usually post on the midget / Sprite board. I have a tacho out of a 1968 MGB GT (UK) spec - part no RVI 2430/00 and want to fit it to my now negative earth Sprite, but can't find any bullets that fit the to connectors on the back, they seem smaller than all the bullets on my car, any ideas where to get bullets that fit ? thanks, Malc |

Hi Malc, I have found that the crimp on ones from the local auto supply are smaller than those in the B, so they might fit. Herb |

The 4mm from Autosparks might be about the right size. Have you measured them? http://www.autosparks.co.uk/index.php?cPath=129 |

Just been and measured them, standard bullet as used all over the loom is 5.0mm diameter, the tacho bullets are 4.5mm dia. |

That is because it is designed to fit a rubber encased clip on the end of the loom wire - not a regular bullet connector. You can get round this by crimping a regular bullet connector at one end so that it is a tight fit. |
