MG MGB Technical - MGB rear brake pipe
Hello I'm in the process of re-building the rear brakes of my USA model MGB & I cannot remove the brake pipe from the brake cylinder. I've unscrewed the bolt connecting the brake pipe but it won't release. Is there a trick to this please. Steve |

Wiggle it, doesn't matter if you damage it if you are replacing it. But while there unless the cylinders themselves are relatively new you would be best replacing those as well, so it doesn't matter if the end of the pipe breaks off in the hole of the old ones. |

Agreed with Paul. When I aquired my car it would occasionally lock up something awful a the rear. Turned out it was a leaking cylinder, probably original. Just renew these. The cylinders are relatively inexpensive. Mike |
