MG MGB Technical - MGBGT Shades of white?
Does anyone know the website address that has information about the likely shade of white which my MGBGT has? (I know there is one as I've been there before but can't remember how I found it!) Or can anyone give me that information.Car was registered in Mar 1979 |

Try http://www.teglerizer.com, there's a link on the main page I suppose. regards, Alexander '65B |

Thanks Alexander. I tried that link but got 'page cannot be displayed'. So I'm still no wiser. It's very frustrating as I only have a small bit of filling on the bonnet that needs a can of spray. I expect I'll end up with trial and error. |

Alexander. Great , thanks, that address is exactly what I'm after. It appears that my MGBGT is a Leyland white and my mgb roadster is a Glacier. Maggie A. |

Maggie- According to my copy of Clausager's "Original BGB" the 1979 MGB GT was available in Leyland White, sometimes called "Ermine" or "Porcelain White". Triumph White May have been used alternatively. The manufacturers' color codes for this shade of white are as follows: BMC/BL Code: BLVC243 Ault & Wiborg/Berger/Gipgloss: 32335, 36133 ICI: FA 78 PPG/Ditzler (US): 90106 Dupont (US): H7896 Glasso/Rinshed Mason (US): 9734 |
