MG MGB Technical - Mysterious steering wheel?
Can any of you identify this steering wheel? It is 17 inches in diameter, and its center hole, where the steering shaft goes, is 20.4 mm or 0.8 inches. It fits an MGA and an MGB steering shaft. It clearly isn't a simple, flat "banjo" wheel. What have I got here? Thanks for your help, Michael Whalen |

My first thought was Triumph TR3, but that is flat, then I thought Morris Minor, but that doesn't have splines as the MGA/B. Apparently the Land Rover Mk1 does, so my guess is that you should look in the direction of Land Rovers?. These guys should be able to tell you what it is and there's a picture of a Land Rover wheel. http://www.steeringwheelrestoration.co.uk/car_steering_wheels_gallery.php?p=9 |
