Hiya I would go for 1,4 and some moly paste for some standard followers. Mind you, $200plus for a repro cam seems a lot...what do Craneor other make billets cost? Peter |

Dwight, all the ARP studs come with a small packet of lubricant, so no need to buy more. I run those lifters and pushrods with no noticeable power increase. I thin the cam is the only thing that will make any meaasureable difference. You can buy Crane's cam for a little less through Summit racing and its a brand new billet unit (CRN-342-0010)! I know someone who's running it with 102 BHP at the rear wheels! Jeff |

Sans a good head porting, not a lot. IMO, best to spend on head porting, then mabe send rockers out to be re-ratio'd. Defiately get the ARP head stud kit. But first, what are you trying to accomplish? |

I'm with seb above. I have the p285 in a Burgess flowed FastRoad Big Valve, with Jackson rollers idling w/o lump a 650. I just pulled 123 RWHP with 133# torque on the Moss S/C at 7 # with the P270(Purchased from peter with 50+ hardened lifters) , rollers, and of course the Burges SC flowed head. Going down to the smaller pulley, John Twist's dizzy and Han's 2.5 inch headers and expect a Guiness book around 141RWHP. I'll keep yall informed. Cheerios VicPS_ In fareness, I see peter pegged 124 rwhp on an automatic with his head and thew Moss unit. What boost Peter? Where's the Han's Hotter .....Phil....Dave...where you guys lurking dudeos.... |

Thanks Jeff. Who has that car? [102 rwhp] ? What am I trying to accomplish? Auto cross/Solo, maybe some track time, tours, fun............. [Brian gets a discount] And the head is already ported, and flow bench tested. 1.5 ratio roller rockers from Harlan Sharp, and the big 1.72" intake stainless steel valves. Plus a set of Diamond Racing forged pistons, [about 10-1 compression]and all balanced, lightened flywheel, [15 lbs] ceramic coated headers, and 2" exhaust. For now, intake stock manifold, with good HS4 carbs. [love those carbs] pertronix coil, Second Strike, and Ignitor, [points/condenser replacement] Hopefully, more like 90 rwhp....................
