MG MGB Technical - Original fuel pump

Hi all,
A couple of things about my '71 MGB fuel pump.

I am wondering if I should get any clicking if rust from the tank is clogging the input line or lodged in the fuel pump?

And I traded a bunch of old pumps awhile back to a guy in Washington or Oregon state in exchange for a good pump. I would like to see if I can buy one of those again from him. Anyone just happen to know who this was again?
