MG MGB Technical - Paint Colour - Brooklands Green?
Hello from Australia, I am particularly after some images showing this colour. It was a later paint colour (from 1975 I think?) and most cars with this colour would be in the US. Any reference to the codes/discussions etc would be very much appreciated. Maurie |

I had a '76 midget that colour. Google Mg Rover/Leyland colour codes. There are sites with all the info you need. |

Maurie- I suspect that Brooklands green was introduced because the lighter British Racing Green seemed to clash with the black rubber bumpers. If used with chrome bumpers, the bumpers seem to stand out rather than appear to be an integrated part of the car (IMHO). The Paint Codes are: BMC/BL BVLC 169 ICI 4498, FM45, FD 68 Ault & Wiborg/ Berger/ Gilgloss 30683 PPG/ Ditzler (US) 45190 Dupont (US) 44630 Glasso/Rinshed Mason (US) 8848 |
